On January 20 of this year, a solemn inauguration ceremony of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, took place in Washington, D.C. After taking the oath of office, the President delivered the traditional inaugural address, promising a «common sense revolution» and announcing the beginning of the «new era of national success.»
The priorities of the Trump-Vance administration focus on implementing key MAGA campaign pledges: security (border protection, ending asylum for illegal migrants, combating cartels, reinstating the death penalty), welfare (restoring energy dominance, abolishing «climate extremism» policies, streamlining permitting and regulations, building critical energy infrastructure, and pursuing an America First trade policy), government reform (restructuring government bureaucracy, rejecting DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) mandates in the federal sector, and enhancing efficiency through the creation of a new DOGE body), and a return to traditional American values (protection against radical gender ideology, among other measures).
The foreign policy of the new administration will be intrinsically tied to domestic imperatives, with the State Department, led by Marco Rubio, implementing an America First foreign policy agenda.
Despite the lack of a clear action plan regarding the war in Ukraine, the administration's general approach can be outlined as follows: striving for the quickest possible cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, with proclaimed aim to build a stable peace in the region.
