On August 29, 2019 in the National Institute for Strategic Studies a meeting occurred between Oleksandr Lytvynenko, director of the Institute, and the delegation of Atlantic Council training program for the U.S. Congress executives.  The conversation during the meeting concerned the current political situation in Ukraine and modern challenges, faced by the Ukrainian state. The central thesis of the meeting was discussion on necessity of cooperation between Ukraine and the countries of NATO and EU, as well as importance of foreign investments for defence capacity of our state, as well as its further development and modernization. Another important topics of the meeting were discussion on the strategy of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his upcoming meeting with the President of the USA Donald Trump regarding  perspectives on Ukrainian-American cooperation, and discussion on the development of the technical partnership with China. Euro-Atlantic integration was called to be the main priority of Ukrainian international policy.
