On October 18, 2019 in the NISS a meeting occurred between the leadership of the Institute and the experts of the Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, USA) Lawrence Walzer and Alan Howard, as well as with representatives of the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence (Vilnius, Lithuania) — Rimantas Šikas and Mr. Dungar Ozgur. On the part of the NISS the meeting was attended by Director of the Institute Oleksandr Lytvynenko and Head of the Department of Energy and Technology Security Oleksandr Sukhodolya.
Experts discussed potential directions for cooperation, possibility of conduct of joint studies on the global challenges to energy security and responses to the modern challenges. Among similar events, holding of the training course in energy security issues from the standpoint of tasks of defense and security sector of Ukraine is scheduled with a participation of both parties.
Participants of the meeting expressed mutual interest in holding next year a series of communicative events and preparation of the memorandum of cooperation.
