On September 23, 2019, the National Institute for Strategic Studies hosted a meeting with the delegation from the College of Europe (Natolin campus). The meeting was held by the NISS Director Oleksandr Lytvynenko, NISS Deputy Director Gelena Savruk, with the participation of students from the College of Europe under the leadership of Andriy Tyushka, Senior Assistant at the Department of European interdisciplinary research at the College of Europe (Natolin Campus, Poland).

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize future scientistswith NISS activities. Mr. Litvinenko was referring to the key points ofthe National Security Strategy of Ukraine, inter alia, to maintain astrategic course for cooperation with NATO and EU countries, as well as the development of further cooperation with Ukraine's immediate neighbors such asPoland, Romania, and Lithuania. Gelena Savruk told during the meeting about reforming process within the NISS in the direction of openness andcooperation not exclusively with the Presidential Administration, but also withministries, think tanks, state institutions, and the media. Ms.Savruk outlined among NISS priorities' foremost the cooperation with thesecurity and defense sector of Ukraine pursuing the goal to change the politicalculture with in those institutions, to introduce cooperation spirit when implementing political strategies.
