On November 8, 2019 in the National Institute for Strategic Studies a preparatory session of the interdepartmental working group occurred, dedicated the draft Strategy of National Security of Ukraine. The session was conducted under the chairmanship of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.
The draft Strategy of National Security of Ukraine was presented by Deputy Director of the NISS Andriy Smenkovskyi. In the discussion on the draft participated Deputy Head of the President’s Office Anna Kovalenko, Director of the NISS Oleksandr Lytvynenko, members of the working group Andriy Zuz, Oleksiy Soloviov, Oleksandr Leshchenko etc. Among the objectives of the national policy in the field of national security the speakers emphasized importance of prioritization of issues, directly related to human essential interests, i.e. health care, quality education, and provision of biosafety and cybersecurity.
All in all, the members of the interdepartmental working group supported the key provisions of the draft Strategy of National Security of Ukraine.
